Bill passed away on Monday, February 27 in Chandler Arizona. He was the son of Miles (Wink) Davis and Margaret Meads Davis. Husband of Cathy Davis and brother of Miles W Davis Jr and Jerry A Davis, all of Kitty Hawk. He was born on September 10, 1941 in Norfolk, Va and lived most of his life on the Outer Banks on NC. A celebration of life will be held at the Black Pelican Restaurant in Kitty Hawk on April 23 from 1 to 3 p.m.

I have a lot of fond memories growing up in Kitty Hawk, making my daily visits to Billy in the Sundry Shop for my Milk Shake fix.
I was a regular and Billy knew my schedule and always had it in the works with a big smile.

I met Billy about 40 years ago when he had the Winks store in Kitty Hawk. I stopped by several times a week to pick up anything from coffee to food. Billy was always a breath of fresh air to brighten my day. He always had a smile and a few kind words. A good man has left us.
