The March 16 rivalry game between the First Flight and Manteo women’s soccer teams stayed close the entire game, with enthusiasm on the sidelines and on the field. Alexa Hallac scored a penalty kick in the last nine minutes of the first half, putting First Flight in the lead 1-0. Then halfway through the second half, Manteo’s Kenzie Flynn tied it 1-1 on a penalty kick. The score remained the same and the teams played two 10-minute overtimes with no additional points scored, leaving the final score as a 1-1 tie.
