The OBX Storm U11 Boys, following their win at the Adidas National Cup in Richmond this February, have qualified for the Target USA Cup in Minneapolis in July.
The Target USA Cup is the largest soccer tournament in North America and features teams from over 15 countries and 22 states. The OBX Storm team will be representing North Carolina on the pitch at this week-long Tournament. By comparison, participation in this tournament would be similar to playing in the Little League World Series. The Tournament has approximately 25,000 attendees per day and approximately 16,000 soccer players who will be partaking in the Tournament.
Fundraising efforts to support the boys on their quest to Minnesota are underway and they are inching closer to their goal but need additional donations to help close the fundraising gap on their way to the USA Cup. There are various Donation levels available for team Sponsors, and every little bit helps. Send an email to 11uTargetCup@gmail.com for Sponsorship information. Donations are also accepted on Spot Fund: http://spot.fund/8zxhnsc. Click here for a pdf of the OBX Storm U11 fundraiser to Target USA SPONSORS NEEDED form.
Funds are being raised to help with the cost of travel, lodging and transportation for the team. The overall funds that are sought is $40,000.00.
If you would like to help the boys reach their fundraising goal, you can either donate through Spot Fund or Sponsor the team by emailing 11uTargetCup@gmail.com for the Sponsorship Form. OBX Storm is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and documentation will be provided to sponsors for tax purposes. Act now to secure your spot on the banner for the Opening Ceremonies!
The Boys have been working and training hard to prepare for the week-long Tournament and are excited to represent the Outer Banks of North Carolina and hopefully bring back some bling to the beach. The Team thanks the community in advance for their support and encouragement.

$40,000 is allot to ask for a club soccer trip for a team that’s not even ranked in the top 30 in the state.

(@the no name) This team is currently ranked 14th in the state and was ranked 4th in the state in 2022. They dropped in rankings do to playing up their entire spring season, in a U12 division. They weren’t given this, they earned it by winning a National tournament, The Adidas Cup.
