Get ready to embrace the essence of summer fashion and support local charities at the much-anticipated event, Jorts In June. This unique celebration of cut-off jeans, live music, and red Solo cup culture promises a day of fun and camaraderie, all for a good cause. The Blue Crab Tavern and Pigman’s Bar-B-Que have joined forces to organize a spectacular backyard jorts fashion show on Saturday, June 3rd, from 3 PM to 8 PM at the Blue Crab Tavern, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Rotary Club of Kitty Hawk.
Jorts, the iconic fusion of comfort and style, have taken the fashion world by storm, from the catwalks of Paris to the canals of Colington. Jorts In June recognizes the universal appeal of these fashionable denim shorts and aims to celebrate their summer reign in a laid-back, enjoyable atmosphere. The focal point will be the jorts fashion show, showcasing the creativity and individuality of participants who proudly sport their best cut-off jeans ensembles. The grand prize of the evening is the prestigious Looper Trophy, awarded to the individual with the most outstanding jorts outfit. Attendees can expect a feast for the senses as the backyard comes alive with the vibrant, diverse jorts designs.

Adding to the ambiance, Jorts In June will feature an impressive lineup of live music performances by Anchor Blazer and SOULone. These talented local artists will set the stage, serenading the crowd with their eclectic sounds and ensuring a high-energy atmosphere throughout the event. Guests are encouraged to bring their dancing shoes and prepare to groove to the rhythm of summer.

To further enhance the Jorts In June experience, The Blue Crab Tavern and Pigman’s Bar-B-Que will offer special drink deals, ensuring attendees stay refreshed as they mingle and enjoy the festivities. Additionally, anyone who arrives donning a pair of jorts will receive complimentary grilled hot dogs, adding a mouthwatering touch to the celebration.

Jorts In June serves as a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, have a fantastic time, and contribute to a worthy cause. By supporting this event, attendees will help raise vital funds for the Rotary Club of Kitty Hawk, enabling the organization to continue its invaluable work in promoting community development, education, and humanitarian efforts.
