Night driving restrictions will be lifted at many designated ORV ramps at Cape Hatteras National Seashore starting at 9 p.m. Friday, September 15. To find out which ramps will no longer have night driving restrictions, and which ramps will still have opening and closing times due to sea turtle nests, visit http://go.nps.gov/beachaccessany time after 12 p.m. September 15.

Keep an eye on the weather forecast and use caution through the rest of this week because portions of ORV routes may become impassable due to distant Hurricane Lee.

Night driving restrictions may need to be reimplemented at certain ramps, depending on if additional sea turtle nests are laid, so take a look at the Cape Hatteras beach access webpage before heading to the beach each night.
