Our Walk, speakers and fellowship activities have been rescheduled for 9am September 30 at First Flight High School.

Come walk with us! Sign up $10 includes free tote bag, free coffee from Dunkin Donuts, Crumbl Cookies, Tshirts for sale. Free hamburgers & hotdogs after the walk donated by Mulligans Restaurant.

There will be vendors to educate or to seek help with a loved one who struggles with the disease of Addiction.
Opening remarks by will be NC State Senator Bobby Hanig.
Guest speakers Jesse Ruby & Nathan Finnin.
There will be live piano music by Calvino Studios, silent auction, 5K run before the walk by Outer Banks Running Company start time 8am

Here are the full details:

What time is that Walk? There is an optional 5k before the Walk beginning at 8:00 a.m. sponsored by the OBX Running Company, click here to register. The actual Walk begins at 9:00 a.m. with a set up of vendors; free coffee from Dunkin Donuts and Crumbl cookies! Sign in is $10 for a tote bag, pen and water bottle. We will also have t shirts and tank tops for sale for $15/each.

After sign in, please stroll through the vendor tables and gather information concerning prevention, treatment and after treatment of the disease of addiction that is killing our population!

What happens after sign in? NC Senator Bobby Hanig will deliver opening remarks and bring us up to date on NC “happenings” in the State of NC. We have two speakers this year: Jeese Ruby, a peer support specialist for Dare County will speak and our 2nd speaker of Nathan Finnin, rector of St. Andrews by the Sea Episcopal. It is sure to be an enlightening morning for ALL!

What happens after the speakers? We begin our actual walk from the parking lot of First Flight High School through the parking lots of First Flight Middle School and First Flight Elementary school (approximately 1 mile) and then back to the high school where you will have an opportunity to mingle and partake of free hot dogs/hamburgers.

How long does all of the Walk last? We will be finished up by approximately 11:30 or 12:00 noon.

Who does the Walk benefit? Last year the Walk sponsored 24persons into Oxford Houses and treatment, several transports to rehab facilities and along with Toys for Tots, provided toys for 32 children of residents of Dare County Detention Center.
