OBX Storm is proud to Congratulate two of our teams who each brought home a Championship win in the Adidas Clash Tournament in Greensboro on November 11 and 12.
The Starz U14 Girls competed in the Tournament and played their way through to take home the Championship under Coach Billy Folkes. They had two games on Saturday, pulling out a win in both, in advance of their third game on Sunday morning. Securing the third win to advance to the final, the team fought hard in the final to finish the game in a draw. Both teams moved on to Penalty Kicks where the Starz came out on top.
The OBX Storm Fury 12U Boys also took home first place in the Adidas Clash Tournament. The team banded together to win both of their games on Saturday and their third game on Sunday to advance to the final. The offensive firepower brought 17 goals against their opponents throughout the weekend. The team only gave up a single goal in each of the games on Saturday and had shut outs for both elimination games on Sunday.
OBX Storm congratulates Coach Matt Hart and Team Fury on their excellent showing at the Tournament and extends congratulations to Coach Billy Folkes and the Starz on this great win and to commend both teams on their continued hard work, dedication and teamwork.
