Rosemarie Doshier, Broker/Co-Owner of The Doshier Team OBX, has been honored with the prestigious title of ā€œ2023 REALTORĀ® of the Year.ā€ The award was recently presented during the Outer Banks Association of REALTORSĀ® Celebration by the Sea at Jennetteā€™s Pier.

Each year, the Association recognizes a REALTORĀ® that embodies professionalism through their faithfulness to the REALTORĀ® Code of Ethics, Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Association – a REALTORĀ® that works for the advancement of the principles of good real estate practice among other Brokers.

Nominated by the membership, local Association activity as well as civic, state association and national association involvement are considered by the selection committee in determining the REALTORĀ® of the Year award recipient.

Rosemarieā€™s local involvement over the past year included Chairing the Government Affairs Committee, serving on the Professional Standards Task Force, participating in numerous other committees and projects, and serving as an At Large Director on the Association’s Board.

Her unwavering commitment to community service extends beyond the local association. Rosemarie was also appointed to serve on the state and national association committees. Her tireless efforts have made a significant impact on Outer Banks as she has held key leadership positions within the real estate community. Notably, she has twice served as President of the Outer Banks Association of REALTORSĀ®; served as an NC REALTORSĀ® Regional Vice President; led the NC Womenā€™s Council of REALTORSĀ® as President and Regional Vice President; served as Regional Vice President on the national level with an active role in the Residential Real Estate Council (RRC) and the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) programs.

A REALTORĀ® since 1987, her dedication to her profession was previously recognized when she was named REALTORĀ® of the Year in 1995. She also received the Career Achievement Award from the Outer Banks Association of REALTORSĀ® in 2014.

In her own words, Rosemarie expressed her gratitude, ā€œIt is such an honor to receive this award. I love being a REALTORĀ®. I cherish the opportunity to mentor new agents, and our associationā€™s commitment to community welfare resonates deeply with me. Beyond property transactions, we actively engage in legislative matters that impact property rights and homeownership. This award from the number one REALTORĀ® Association in the state is truly humbling.ā€
