Grandy man given $301K bond for multiple felonies

The Currituck County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Grandy man on a number of charges.

Here is the information.

On Saturday April 13, Currituck County Patrol Deputies arrested Ernest Nolge Jr. ,30, of Grandy on several felony and drug warrants. Nogle was arrested after investigations of multiple vehicle break-ins and larcenies in the area.

Nogle was arrested on 6 counts of felony Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle, 3 counts of Possession of Firearm by Felon, 1 count of felony Larceny of a Firearm, 2 counts of misdemeanor Larceny, 1 count of misdemeanor possession of Schedule IV, 1 count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and 2 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nogle is currently in the custody of the Currituck County Detention Center under a $301,000.00 secured bond.



Barnhill Building Group has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by the College of the Albemarle and is seeking to pre-qualify construction trade contractors to submit bids for the furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and tools for the new College of The Albemarle – Allied Health Sciences Simulation Lab (COA Health Sciences) located in Elizabeth City, NC. The project consists of the new construction of a 38,000-sf, 2-story expansion to the existing Owens Health Sciences Center and will house classrooms, labs, and a simulation lab. The site is just over just over 4.5 acres and is located on an active campus. This new construction will be a steel structure with a brick and metal panel veneer, curtainwall, and storefront glazing with a PVC roof membrane.

    Another truly sad case of a person caught up in the drug and gun culture. Repeat offender. Potentially very dangerous. I hope he receives the penalty he deserves and that it is enough for him to realize he needs to change the road he’s on. Great thanks to law enforcement efforts!
