Dare Challenge mourns the loss of Rob Hill, Jr.

By on June 11, 2024

This message below was posted on the Dare Challenge Facebook page on June 10 by Dustin Daniels, executive director of the faith-based program helping people struggling with addiction issues.
It mourns the loss of Robert Hill Jr., a leader at the Dare Challenge Men’s Center, and also honors his life. Hill died at the scene of a multi-vehicle accident in Manteo on the morning of June 10.

Today I am at a complete and total loss for words. To say my heart is broken is a huge understatement. Rob by far was one of the best guys I have ever had at Outer Banks Dare Challenge. He had a true heart for ministry, a true servant’s attitude, and was willing to do whatever was needed for the ministry. He was the heart of the program. The guys loved and respected him, and many lives were changed because of the investment that he made here at this ministry. There will never be another guy like him, and I pray that my heart as well as yours to have that servant’s mentality and attitude the way that Rob did. His daily walk and everything that he did and everything that he said and how he handled himself and every situation truly exemplified God’s servant. He wasn’t just someone that worked here at Dare Challenge, he was my personal friend, and I will truly miss him from the bottom of my heart. Rest in peace and may we all strive to be like Rob whose only purpose was to be a true servant of Jesus.
