The World Surf League (WSL) North America Qualifying Series (QS) returns for the long-standing WRV Outer Banks Pro Presented by Pacifico QS 2,000. Beginning September 3 through 6, the men’s QS contenders will look to carry momentum from Virginia Beach, or find the spark they need to ignite the ensuing fall competition run. This event has proven to be pivotal step toward the race for Challenger Series (CS) qualification and a proving ground for competitors who have now made appearances on the Championship Tour (CT).
Held at the Jennette’s Pier in consecutive years since 2014, the WRV Outer Banks, WRV continues to join forces with Pacifico to keep professional surfing thriving on the East Coast. One of only two events for the men in East Coast waters, this event has proven to be an anchor for competitors looking to break into the QS scene. And, held alongside the beginning of hurricane season, the opportunity to witness incredible conditions keeps competitors on their toes heading to the Outer Banks’ beauty.
