Prepare to encourage & support Recovery Court participants on their recovery journey with this hands-on mentor training.
Free community training offers evidence-based, peer-support methods to help you learn how to walk alongside and encourage those engaged in our local Recovery Courts due to substance use disorder. Interested participants should have at least a year of successful continuous recovery and a desire to support others as they begin their journey of recovery. Topics will cover: how to encourage while promoting personal responsibility, what support looks like while maintaining appropriate boundaries, confidentiality and reporting responsibilities, and guidelines for responding to relapse and crisis. The training is formatted to include presentation and group discussion, as well as time for Q & A.
