The Coastal Family Collaborative has officially launched a search for an innovative, passionate leader to serve as the Director of Tidal Tots Childcare Center. Located in Frisco, NC, Tidal Tots aims to strengthen local families by providing accessible, high-quality early childhood education to the Hatteras Island community.

The Director will oversee all daily operations, educational programming, financial administration, and staff development, while ensuring the center meets North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) standards, Serving as the face of Tidal Tots, the leader will foster strong relationships with families, community partners, and the Board of Directors to cultivate an inclusive, top-tier learning environment.

Key Candidate Qualifications

  • Credentials: North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential (NCECAC) Level I or higher (or able to obtain withing the required DCDEE timeframe).
  • Education: Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or a related field (Associate degrees with equivalent experience considered)
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in early childhood education, with 3+ years of supervisory and budget management experience preferred.
  • Community Focus: Strong background in family engagement, curriculum oversight, and local partnership development

Position Details & Benefits

  • Status: Full-Time, Exempt (Frisco, NC)
  • Compensation: Starting $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience
  • Benefits: Paid Time off, paid holidays, continuing education support, and a planned monthly benefit stipend
