With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mom, Doralee Geyer, who passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026, at the age of 74, surrounded by love.
Doralee grew up in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, and dedicated 45 years of her life to nursing. For the final 18 years of her career, she proudly worked on the IV team. Her caring heart and dedication to helping others were a beautiful reflection of the person she was.
Doralee was the beloved wife of Bruce Geyer, her husband of 44 years. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, family, laughter, and memories. She was a devoted mom to Jane and David Cramer of Middletown, VA; Pamela Geyer and Tommy Reynolds of Kitty Hawk, NC; Susan and Marshall White of Poplar Branch, NC; and Kelly and Tim Jaszczuk of King George, VA.
She was a loving Nana to seven grandchildren: Kaitlin, Logan, Grady, Ethan, Blake, Dylan, and Ryan, who brought her endless joy and love. She is also survived by her brother Jeff and Linda Hickman of Greensburg, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Sr. and Betty Hickman, and her brother, George Hickman, Jr.
Doralee had a gift for making everyone laugh and smile. She told the best stories, had the funniest jokes, and could bring joy to any room. Her laughter was contagious, and her stories will be told and cherished for generations.
Her favorite place in the world was Disney World, where she found so much happiness and magic. She loved bringing everyone together for a themed party and creating memories that her family will talk about for years to come. Whether it was a family gathering or simply time spent together, she had a way of making every moment feel special.
Doralee’s greatest gift was the life she gave us and the love she taught us to share. She gave us each other, and that love will carry us through even the most difficult days. We are so lucky to have had her, and even luckier that we got to call her wife, Mom and Nana. We may have reached the end of Dori’s story, but her love and laughter will live on in our hearts forever.
