Bring your friends and family to celebrate the arrival of fall at Island Farm! For the first four Saturdays in October, Island Farm will host its 15th annual Pumpkin Patch event. The event will take place on October 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 9 A.M. until 3 P.M. Admission for visitors aged four and older is $11. Children 0-3 years old are admitted for free.

This year’s Pumpkin Patch will feature an abundance (and variety) of pumpkins – grown locally in Chowan County by a descendant of Island Farm. During the event, visitors will enjoy historic games, doll crafting, candle making, samples of apple cider and popcorn, giveaways from the blacksmith, and a new lineup of fall activities including a nail-driving contest, jumbo bubbles, a corn tunnel, straw maze, and more! All activities are included with the cost of admission. The Farm will also host a maker’s market which will feature local arts, crafts, food, and apple cider donuts for purchase.

Pumpkin Patch is funded in part by: Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, Sam & Winston, Poor Richard’s Sandwich Shop, Roanoke Island Fitness Lab, Darrell’s Restaurant, Southern Bank, Northeastern Marine Construction, and Silver Charters.

Island Farm is a living history farm located on the north end of Roanoke Island – it offers a trip back in time to the 1850’s along the Outer Banks through hands-on activities, historic building tours, demonstrations, working livestock, daily programs, and special weekend events. The Farm is open Tuesday through Saturday (through December 5th) and is located at 1140 N US Highway 64, north of Manteo, on Roanoke Island.

Island Farm is owned and operated by Outer Banks Conservationists, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1980 to protect natural, cultural, and historic resources along North Carolina’s Outer Banks through education and conservation.
