Update: The National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City has issued a High Surf Advisory for Dare County from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27 and a Beach Hazards Statement in effect from 8 a.m. through the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 27.
Large breaking waves of 5 to 8 feet expected in the surf zone. Dangerous rip currents, large breaking waves expected, and strong longshore currents in the surf zone.

Big Yellow was brought into the shelter in May because, unfortunately, he was bitten by an unknown animal which led to a 6 month quarantine. His quarantine is now up and he is doing fantastic.
