Tune-Up Specialist

We are in search of a Tune-Up Specialist to help our team provide our renowned and exceptional service to our cherished clients.

We will provide one-on-one training with our detailed training and educational program. This training along with your exceptional people skills and willingness to provide the best possible service for our clients will lead you to a great and dependable career in the heating and cooling industry.

This is an opportunity for an entry level position to allow you to learn and gather experience in the heating and cooling industry. You must have great people skills, a willingness to learn, work well with our team, have a valid NC driver’s license with a good driving record (that you provide), drug free, clean criminal background (that you provide) and ability to carry at least 50 lbs up and down large flights of stairs.

Job Summary:

The Construction Estimator is responsible for developing, negotiating, and executing subcontract agreements for all material and labor categories while ensuring appropriate resource allocation and cost efficiencies. SAGA is looking for a motivated individual to estimate and procure the labor and materials necessary for the construction of custom, semi-custom, and production-based homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and assemble construction documents and specifications.
  • Perform construction takeoffs using manual and digital methods.
  • Organize data to produce SOV’s, job cost reports, and trade partner procurement documents.
  • Track and analyze takeoffs and estimates vs actuals.
  • Explore documentation, notes, and other communications to gain a deep understanding of project specifications and requirements.
  • Manage project specification and selections changes.
  • Measure and manage takeoffs, and other important metrics of the Construction Plans and compare to historical data.

  • Obtain bids from trade partners by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.
  • Explore value engineering opportunities for new and existing house plans.

  • Experience in digital takeoff software such as PlanSwift, OnCenter, STACK, STACKCT, or similar preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word) and excellent computer/software skills required.

Direct Support Paraprofessional

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor or designee, the Direct Support Paraprofessional provides respite, personal care and personal assistance and/or habilitative services to individuals supported by the ICS program. These services exclude those that are considered re-habilitative in nature. We currently have immediate Part Time opportunities for Direct Support Paraprofessionals to join our team providing service in the Outer Banks and surrounding area (Days, Evenings and Weekends).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required for all services provided.
  • Two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple responsibilities and assigning priority to activities.
  • Ability to manage the goals of multiple individuals and families on a timely basis.
  • Must complete and maintain current Easter Seals UCP training curriculum, which includes, but not limited to the following:
  • CPR/First Aid, NCI (as appropriate), Medication Administration (as appropriate), OSHA/BBP training, core competencies and other trainings relevant to position as defined by local program guidelines.
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted, state appropriate driver’s license for the State of North Carolina.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
