Betsy “Lynn” Coppersmith, age 75, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, in Nags Head with her daughter by her side. She was born in Charlotte, NC on June 22, 1951, to the late Wallace Ray Trexler and the late Dora Bates Trexler.
Lynn will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, proud grandmother, dear friend, talented artist, deep thinker, and a pure soul. She is survived by her daughter, Emily Coppersmith; her grandson, Jonah Baum; her former husband and Emily’s father, Buddy Coppersmith; her sister, Jane T. Frye (Jeff); her nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
