Whelean McCullen better known to all as Ray, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on September 22, 2026, at the age of 82.

Husband to his loving wife, Kathy, sharing a remarkable 63 years of marriage filled with love and companionship. Whelean was a proud father to his children, daughter, Theresa and sons, Brian (Kaleigh) and Joe, and a cherished grandfather to his five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His family was the cornerstone of his life.

Ray was predeceased by his parents, all 11 of his siblings, his daughter Nancy, and grandsons Justin and John.

As the owner of a successful drywall business, Ray was known for his dedication and impeccable work ethic. Outside of work, Whelean had a passion for classic cars, particularly his treasured ’57 Chevy. He had a kind heart and would give anyone the shirt off his back.

The family is deeply grateful to the caring staff at Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate support during Ray’s final days.

Whelean Ray McCullen leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and strength. He will be dearly missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
